What receives an entry
A material correction changes the meaning of a price, allowance, feature, identity method, retention statement, privacy description, technical instruction, calculation, or recommendation. The entry identifies the affected page, the original meaning, the corrected meaning, the evidence, and the date the revision became public.
Spelling, punctuation, layout, accessibility, and clarity improvements are corrected directly unless they altered a factual claim. Source URLs may be repaired without a material entry when the cited document and supported claim remain the same.
How changing vendor facts are handled
Prices, plan limits, trials, retention, hosting, crawler documentation, and future-feature status receive priority. If a vendor change makes a page materially wrong, it is updated and logged. If a source is temporarily unavailable, the unsupported claim is qualified or removed rather than preserved from memory.
How to report something
Email privacy@slicky.click. It is the single contact address for this site, it routes to a person, and it covers factual corrections, privacy questions, and accessibility barriers alike. There is no form to complete and no account required, and the site keeps no sales or enquiries inbox. Scheduled primary-source reviews run alongside it.
Revision log
slicky.click added a signed-in dashboard and its own first-party analytics (the “Slicky tag”). The site now records each visit server-side, including the visitor IP address and the network or organization resolved from it, approximate location, pages, referrer, and device — ordinary first-party web analytics, not sold and not used for advertising profiles. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are honored by default. This supersedes the earlier statement that no measurement runs before consent, which described the site before it kept its own analytics; optional Google Analytics and Clicky remain consent-gated as before. The privacy notice was rewritten the same day to describe the data, the account area, and the controls.
The six comparison briefs were replaced by five single-product profiles under/spotlight/, each describing one product on its own terms. The former /compare/ addresses redirect permanently to the profile covering the same product. Head-to-head framing, rankings, and any statement describing a product by what another product does not do were removed from the library.
A statement that Matomo’s managed Cloud “includes features such as heatmaps, session recordings, funnels, and experimentation” did not say those features are tier-gated. Matomo’s own pricing page places heatmaps and session recording at the Business tier and above, and A/B testing at Enterprise and above. The corrected text now names the tiers. Cloudflare Web Analytics was enabled at the hosting level for this domain and was injecting a measurement beacon into every page before any visitor opted in — which contradicted the privacy notice. It has been switched off, the privacy notice now states plainly that no measurement of any kind runs before consent, and a single contact address, privacy@slicky.click, was published. An accessibility statement was added at the same time.
Added consent-gated Google Analytics and Clicky measurement, including page and campaign attribution, engagement actions, and one manual goal for each browser tool. Updated the privacy notice at the same time. Tool inputs and calculated outputs remain local to the browser.
