What this site measures, and how you control it.
You can read every guide and use every tool without an account. The site keeps its own first-party analytics for reliability and audience understanding, described in full below. Calculator inputs stay in the browser.
- The site keeps first-party analytics that record the request, including the visitor IP address, the network or organization resolved from it, approximate location, pages, referrer, and device.
- That data is used by the site’s own operators for measurement and security. It is not sold, and no advertising profile is built from it.
- Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are honored by default; a browser sending either signal is not recorded.
- Calculator, UTM, rate, experiment, event-name, and checklist inputs are not submitted to slicky.click.
- Google Analytics and Clicky remain optional and load only after an explicit opt-in you can withdraw through “Analytics choice” in the footer.
- The signed-in account area is separate and self-hosted; it is not indexed and is only reachable with your credentials.
First-party analytics (the Slicky tag)
slicky.click keeps its own analytics rather than relying only on third parties. When you load a page, a small first-party script asks the site to record the visit. The site’s own server logs the request, which includes yourIP address, and from that address it resolves thenetwork operator or organization (for example a company, a university, an internet provider, a mobile carrier, or a cloud/VPN network) together with the autonomous system number of that network. It also records approximate location (country, region, and city as reported by the network), the page you viewed, the referring link, campaign parameters in the address, and your device, browser, and operating system.
This is ordinary first-party web analytics of the same kind a site owner gets from tools such as Clicky. The data is used by the people who operate this site to understand traffic, measure which pages and campaigns work, and keep the site secure and reachable. It is not sold, rented, shared for advertising, or used to build a cross-site advertising profile, and the site sets no tracking cookie or other storage on your device to do it.
Your control: if your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the site does not record the visit at all — this is on by default. You can enable those signals in most browsers or privacy extensions. Records are retained for a limited period and then deleted. Bots and automated crawlers are flagged and excluded from reported figures.
Accounts and the dashboard
slicky.click offers a signed-in dashboard. If you create an account, the site stores your email address, your name if you provide one, a securely hashed password (never the password itself), and — if you choose “Sign in with Google” — your Google account identifier, email, and profile photo as returned by Google. The account area records sign-in events and activity for security and to operate the product. It is self-hosted on this domain, is not indexed by search engines, and is reachable only with your credentials. To close an account or remove its data, write toprivacy@slicky.click.
Site delivery and security
slicky.click is delivered through Cloudflare. Like other web infrastructure, Cloudflare processes request information such as IP address, time, requested URL, browser and device headers, and security signals to deliver content, limit abuse, and operate the network. Cloudflare’s own privacy policy and service terms govern its processing as an infrastructure provider.
The site operator can access aggregate and diagnostic delivery information through the hosting account. That information is used for reliability, security, and understanding whether pages are reachable, not for selling profiles or contacting anonymous readers.
Optional Google Analytics and Clicky
The site first presents an optional analytics choice. If you select “Keep it off,” neither analytics tag is loaded. If you select “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics and Clicky can receive the requested page, referrer, campaign parameters, approximate location, browser and device information, and measured interactions.
Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled in the Google configuration, and advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization are denied in every consent state. After consent, Clicky’s standard visitor mode may process the network address and use analytics cookies to distinguish visits. Clicky also records pageviews, campaign attribution, outbound links, downloads, engagement pings, and click coordinates used to build heatmaps. The site sends named events for 50% and 90% scroll depth, 30 seconds of visible reading, completed tools, and copied tool results. It does not send tool inputs or calculated outputs with those events.
The choice is stored in localStorage underslicky-analytics-consent so the site can remember it. Clear site storage to reset the choice, or reopen the panel from the footer and select the preferred option. Selecting “Keep it off” after a prior opt-in records denied Google Analytics storage and reloads the current page without either analytics tag, terminating Clicky’s active engagement pings.
Browser-based tools
Form values entered into the six measurement tools are processed by JavaScript in the current browser tab. The forms do not send those values to a slicky.click endpoint, save them to an account, or place them in the page URL. A copied result goes only to the browser clipboard after the copy button is selected.
Normal network delivery still records that the tool page was requested. If optional analytics is allowed, a pageview can show that the tool page was opened and a named event can show that a calculation or copy action occurred. Custom form values and calculated outputs are not sent as analytics event values.
Fonts, images, and external links
Fonts and editorial images are hosted with the site, so reading a page does not require a request to a font provider, a content delivery network, or a stock-image service. Source ledgers link to external standards, regulators, documentation, and vendor sites. Following an external link sends a request to that site, which applies its own privacy practices.
There is one address for this site:privacy@slicky.click. It exists so that a privacy question, a factual correction, or an accessibility barrier can reach a person. There is no sales address, no contact form, and no mailing list — the site does not seek enquiries and sends no marketing email of any kind.
Mail to that address is received and forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing, so Cloudflare processes the message in transit. If you write in, your message and address are used only to answer you and are kept no longer than needed for that purpose. Please do not include sensitive personal information in an email; a description of the page and the problem is enough.
Retention, access, and your choices
Browser consent choice storage remains until it is cleared or replaced. Cloudflare, Google, and Clicky control portions of infrastructure and analytics retention under their service settings and policies. Operational access is limited to people responsible for the site and its hosting and analytics accounts.
First-party analytics records are kept only for a limited period and then deleted automatically. If you hold an account, records tied to it can be located from your email address; write toprivacy@slicky.click to access or delete them. To stop first-party analytics from recording you, enable Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser — both are honored by default. For the optional Google Analytics and Clicky, the “Analytics choice” control in the footer turns them off immediately, and Clicky also publishes a global opt-out. Operational access to any of this is limited to the people responsible for the site and its accounts.
Changes
Material changes receive a new effective date and a summary in the correction log. The page will be updated before a new analytics provider, advertising tag, form, account system, or commercial service is activated.
